Oil service reset SLK – Class

1998-1999
*Diagnostic Reset Tool Required
Manual Reset:

1. Turn key in steering lock to position 2.
2. Within 4 seconds press button (1) left of speedometer twice.
3. The present status for days or distance displays
4. Press and hold button (1)
5. Continue to hold button (1) for approximately 10 seconds until a signal sounds and the display shows 10 000 mils or 15 000km. Release button (1).
6. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2000-2001

Manual Reset:

1. Switch ignition on and immediately press knob to left of speedometer twice within 4 seconds.
2. Present status for days or distance is now displayed. Within 10 seconds
3. Press and hold button to the left of speedometer
4. Release button.
5. Service interval displays the reset interval.
6. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2002-2004
1. Switch ignition on and immediately press knob to left of speedometer twice within 1 second.
2. Present status for days or distance is now displayed. Within 10 seconds
3. Press and hold button to the left of speedometer
4. Release button.
5. Service interval displays the reset interval.
6. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2005-2009
1. Turn the ignition to position 1.
2. Press the system selection button (3 located on the lower left of the steering wheel) repeatedly until the kilometer reading is shown in the multi information display.)
3. Press the cluster illumination button (lower left of instrument panel) quickly 3 times. The battery voltage will be displayed.
4. Press the up or down buttons until the service menu appears.
5. Use the +/- buttons to select menu oprion “”CONFIRM””.”
6. Press the system selection button uuntil “”COMPLETE SERVICE”” is selected.”
7. Confirm “”Complete Service”” with system selection button. The display will show “”SERVICE CONFIRMED””.”
8. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2010-2012
1. Turn the ignition to position 1. (close all doors
2. Press the scroll forward button (bottom button on left side of steering wheel controls) to display mileage counter.
3. Press the system selection button (left button on left side of steering wheel controls) repeatedly until the menu item “”trip”” with highlighter is displayed. “”Trip”” remains selected for 5 seconds so move quickly to step 4.”
4. Press and hold accept/end phone button and within 1 second press and hold the button in the center of the arrows (left side of steering wheel). In 5 seconds the Workshop menu will be displayed “”Vehicle data
5. Use scroll forward or backward to highlight “”ASSYST PLUS”” and confirm selection using the button in the center of the arrows. “”Service data”” and “”Full service”” appear in the display.”
6. Use scroll forward or backward to select “”Full service”” and confirm selection with the button in the center of the arrows. The display will show “”Service 1
7. Use scroll forward or backward to select “”Confirm serv”” and confirm selection with the button in the center of the arrows.”
8. Use scroll forward or backward to select engine oil specification used. “”Oil qual. 229.3″” and “”Oil qual. 229.5″” are displayed. Confirm selection with center button. The display shows “”Serv conducted?”””
9. Use scroll forward or backward to select “”Yes”” and confirm with center button. Display will show “”Take-back not possible
10. Use scroll forward or backward until “”Configuration”” is highlighted and confirm selection with button in center of the arrows. “”Full service carried out”” appears in the display.”
11. Use scroll forward and backward to exit menu.
12. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Oil Service Reset Audi TT

2000-2004

Manual Reset using DIS and Reset Knobs:

1. Turn off the ignition
2. Locate the Driver Information System (DIS) in the instrument panel.
3. Do the following to display the SERVICE! message in the display.
i) Press and hold the right RESET knob.
ii) Turn on the ignition – do not start the engine.
iii) Release the knob.
4. Do the following to display the next service interval (SERVICE IN ##MI)
i) Press and hold the right RESET knob.
ii) Release the knob.
5. Turn off the ignition.
6. Start the engine and verify indicator has been reset.

Manual Reset for 2000 only:

1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Press and hold the TRIP RECORDER reset button on the instrument cluster and turn on the ignition.
3. Release the button. The display will show SERVICE IN —MI or SERVICE.
4. Within 5 seconds
5. Turn off the ignition.
6. Start the engine and verify indicator has been reset.
2005-2007
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Press and hold the button to the right of the LCD display in the instrument cluster.
3.Turn the ignition on (do not start the engine); the message “”SERVICE”” appears. Release button.”
4. Within 5 seconds
5. Turn off the ignition.
6. Start the engine and verify indicator has been reset.

i) Press and hold the Wrench button.
ii) Turn on the ignition – do not start the engine.
iii) Release the WRENCH button.
5. Do the following to display the next service interval (SERVICE in ##MI)
i) Press and hold the 0
ii) Release the 0
6. Turn off the ignition.
7. Start the engine and verify indicator has been reset.

SERVICE INDICATOR SYSTEM SEAT CORDOBA

Service indicator system Seat Cordoba, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999

IN00, No service is required, standard display.

OEL, When 7500 miles has been reached before the yearly service is required.

IN01, Indicates time for the yearly service inc oil change.

IN02, Indicates it is time for the Major service. T

O RESET THE INDIVIDUAL COUNTERS.

1) turn on ignition (do not start).

2) Press the trip reset button button on the speedo (the trip value will not reset to zero but will reappear when the procedure is finished).

3) Turn off the ignition and thne release the trip reset button. In the LCD display you will see the word OEL. Using the minute set button for the clock (lower one) you will reset the OEL interval counter. Press it, hold, release, 5 horizontal lines will appear in the display.

4) press and release the trip reset button. In the LCD display you will see IN01 repeat step 3 to reset the inspection counter when required.

5) Again press the trip reset and rest the IN02 counter if necessary. If doing an oil change only reset the OEL counter. If doing an inspection service reset both the OEL and IN01 counters. If doing a full service reset all 3, OEL, IN01 and ,IN02.

6) Turn on ignition (do not start the car).

7) After the appearance of the IN00 display turn off the ignition.

8) You are done the trip counter should read as it did before you started.

PROGRAMMING THE INTERVALS TO REQUIREMENTS

With todays higher spec oils and/or peoples need and desire to service more regular there is a way to alter the counters to your prefered settings (within reason).

1) Turn on ignition (dont start the car).

2) press the trip reset button also press the Minute set button on the clock (lower one).

3) The LCD display OEL 1,S where the S indicates SET.

4) Using the trip reset button you can call up the following counter data in sequence.

OEL 1,S Distance counter for oil change (7500 standard).

OEL 2,S Time counter for oil change (12 months).

IN 01,S Time counter for yearly service interval (12 months).

IN 02,S Distance counter for full service (15000 miles).

5) Using the minute SET button on the clock (lower one) you can display the current value repeated pressing of the button will select a subsequent lower value and at the lowest level will reset to the highest and start to decrease again (so dont panic). the steps work in miles (500 at a time) and time steps in bi-monthly (1, 2months) i.e.1,2,3,4,5,6.

6) Once you have set the counter to the value you require turn off the ignition.

7) Job done

Reset service indicator / interval on this model as follows Chrysler Grand Cherokee 1995 , 1996 , 1997 , 1998 , 1999 , 2000 , 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 .

1.Switch ignition on

2.Keep pushing the button that reads ‘step’ on the centre console untill the display shows the service interval.

3.Press the reset button for 3 seconds.
