Oil Service Reset Audi Q5

Reset oil Audi Q5 warning light that appears in the dashboard of your car can be reset manually without using a computer or other device costly after an oil change.

Follow these instructions to reset service interval Audi Q5 / turn off service indicator Audi Q5 (after an oil change):

2008-2012

  1. Insert the remote control into the ignition key hole. Briefly press the “CAR“.
  2. Turn the knob util the message “Service Interval Display” appears in the display. Briefly press the button to select.
  3. Turn the knob util the message “Reset oil change interval” appeaars in the display. Briefly press the button to select.
  4. The message “Do you really want to reset the oil change interval?” Appears in the display. Turn the knob until “Yes” appears.
  5. Press to confirm. Done!

This reset is required to be made only after the engine maintenance performed by replacing oil and filters corresponding engine that comes with your vehicle. This operation must be performed by a qualified and experienced to not cause serious damage to the engine and the risk can not be used.

Manual Reset

1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Press and hold the TRIP ODOMETER button in the instrument cluster and turn the ignition to Accessory.
3. Keep the button pressed for 5 seconds until OIL SERVICE RESET (RE) or INSPECTION RESET (RE) appears in the display. Then release the button.
4. Press and hold the button again for 5 seconds until RE or RESET flashes in the display. Then release the button.

6. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Manual Reset
1. Turn ignition to Terminal 15 which is one turn of the key or one press of the START/STOP button.
2. Press and hold the Instrument Cluster Set/Reset button for 10 seconds.
3. The upper display in the Instrument Cluster will be illuminated with a Service Item. The lower display in the Instrument Cluster will indicate the remaining time or mileage left for that Service Item. Pressing the button repeatedly will allow the display to scroll through all of the Condition Based Service Items.
4. Press and hold the Instrument Cluster Set/Reset button again and the lower display screen will indicate “”OK”” or “”DUE””.”
5. Pressing the Instrument Cluster Set/Reset button again will allow the “”RESET”” to appear in the lower window for that service. Releasing and reapplying the button one more time will reset the service displayed in the upper window only. ”
6. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
