1997-1998

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the RESET button for 5 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1999

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the SETUP control to access the System Check function. Press RESET to start the system check function.
Press and hold the RESET control when “OIL LIFE XX% HOLD RESET NEW” is displayed.
After a successful reset, the message centre will display “OIL LIFE RESET TO 100%”.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2000-2003

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the SETUP control to access the System Check function.
Press and release the RESET control to display OIL LIFE XX% HOLD RESET NEW.
Press and hold the RESET control for 2 seconds to display IF NEW OIL HOLD RESET.
Press and hold the RESET control to display OIL LIFE SET TO 100%. Your oil life is now reset.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Service oil reset ford Freestyle/Freestar

2005-2007

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the STATUS control to access the System Check function.
Press RESET to reset oil %.
Press and hold the RESET control to set to 100%. After a successful reset, the message centre will display OIL LIFE SET TO 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2005-2007
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Select this function from the SETUP control “PRESS RESET AT OIL CHANGE”.
Press RESET control to reset oil change.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

How to Turn Off the Service Light on a CLK 320

Most models of the Mercedes-Benz CLK 320 are equipped with a service reminder system that displays a notification light on the control panel when service is due. The onboard computer tracks driving conditions to determine when to illuminate the service reminder light. The service technician at the Mercedes-Benz dealer or garage will reset the service light for you when he performs regular maintenance on the car. If you do your own maintenance, you can turn the light off yourself.

1. Turn the ignition switch on. Do not start the engine.

2. Press the information menu button on the left of the steering wheel repeatedly until the total mileage is displayed.

3. Press the up- or down-arrow button on the left of the steering wheel until the service light is displayed.

4. Press and hold the reset button until a confirmation message appears on the display. The reset button is located to the left of the odometer.

5. Press and release the reset button to confirm the reset. The service light turns off.
