Service oil reset Honda Accord

1982-1985
After completing the oil change, the maintenance lamp may be reset by inserting the ignition key into the appropriate slot on the instrument panel below the indicator lamp. The indicator will change to green.
1986-1991
Insert ignition key into slot below indicator flag at lower right corner of instrument cluster.
Push key in until indicator changes from red to green.
1992-1996
Insert ignition key into centre slot located on the front of the instrument cluster. When reset, the indicator changes to green.
1997-1999
With Reset Button on Instrument Panel:
Turn the ignition off.
Press the select switch and reset switch at the same time, turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
Hold them for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
With Key Slot on Instrument Panel:
Reset the indicator by inserting the key in the slot and changing the indicator to green.
2000-2005
Turn off the engine.
Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button in the instrument panel. and turn the ignition switch ON (ii).
Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2006-2010
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the SELECT/RESET knob until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
Press the SELECT/RESET knob for more than 10 seconds. The engine oil life indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
Press the SELECT/RESET knob for more than 5 seconds. The maintenance items code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1986-1990

Reset the indicator by inserting the key in the slot below the indicator.
or
Turn ignition to (II) – do not start the engine.
Press and hold the RESET button on the bottom of the dash for more than 3 seconds until the reminder light turns off.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1991-1993

Reset the coloured indicator by inserting the key in the slot below the indicator.

1994-1995

Turn ignition to (II) – do not start the engine.
Press and hold the RESET button located at the bottom of the dash for more than 3 seconds until the reminder light turns off.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1996-2001

Turn ignition to (II) – do not start the engine.
Press the RESET button located below and to the right of the steering column (feel for a soft spot) until light goes out.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1997-1999

Reset the coloured indicator by inserting the key in the slot below the indicator.

Turn the key to off position.
Press and hold the SELECT and RESET buttons on the instrument panel and turn the ignition to position (II) – do not start the engine.
Hold the SELECT and RESET buttons until the indicator resets, 10 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2000

Reset the coloured indicator by inserting the key in the slot below the indicator.

2001-2005

Turn the key to off position.
Press and hold the SELECT and RESET buttons on the instrument panel and turn the ignition to position (II) – do not start the engine.
Hold the SELECT and RESET buttons until the indicator resets, hold for about 10 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
